One Response to Caldwell School, Chatham

  1. Bill Freeman says:

I went to school there first and second grade (1961-62). Only the first floor was usable. Three classrooms first and second grades and one first/second combo. About 30 kids each. Milk was 2 cents in little bottles. Had two great teachers Miss Lanham and Mrs Baxter. We had the old steam radiators in the rooms, nobody got burnt but a lot of crayons. Wouldn’t be permitted today.- Bill Freeman
