Georgia Rountree, Paula Stadeker (African-American history interviews)

Georgia Rountree joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter at Tennessee State University in 1940.  She moved to Springfield, Illinois with her husband in 1946 and was a founding member of the graduate chapter in Springfield.  She remains an active member of the graduate chapter and participates in events in Springfield to this day.

Paula Stadeker joined Alpha Kappa Alpha while attending Illinois State University in 1973.  In 1980, Stadeker moved to Springfield, Illinois and joined the graduate chapter.

schs-logo-22In an interview for the Springfield African-American History Foundation series, they discuss the various service projects done by the sorority in Springfield and also talk about the history of the organization.
