I am glad that I ran across this article. I just purchased 12 Jolly Boy original kites from an auction. I didn’t know anything about them. There are several colors; tan, purple, red, and green. They have been bundled up together for decades. They each have 3 sticks, and are in remarkable condition for their age. They are marked J.C. Ayling Company Springfield, Illinois. Thanks for the information!
