Family Welfare Association

The Family Welfare Association was first formed in the 1880s in order to coordinate the efforts of church groups and other charitable organizations in Springfield. After several reorganizations under a variety of names, the Family Welfare Association was reborn under that name in 1924. For more details, see the history of the Family Service Center.
